Increased joy of active life
I had been thinking about getting laser surgery for my eyes for already long time – perhaps five or six years. I even went to the clinic once to get it done, but then just got “cold feet” and decided to postpone. To be honest, I wasn’t really afraid of anything, but because I only had -1,0 vision I decided not to undergo the laser surgery at that time.
I have always been very interested of all kinds of sports. I like to play hockey, golf and other sports as well, and in order to have a sharp vision I had to wear contact lenses. But I wasn’t too big fan of contact lenses. Always the hustle to put them on, sometimes I forgot them and once in the while they dropped and I didn’t have the spare one.
Then one day a good friend of mine told me about his very positive experience about the surgery and Dr. Novak. I thought now is the time to do it for me as well !!! Already next day after our discussion I called an appointment for the preliminary tests. Dr. Klecka was extremely helpful and gave very clear answers to my questions and responded very professionally to all my concerns. I had absolutely no reasons to say no and booked the time for surgery straight away !
I have to admit that when the surgery date came I had butterflies in my stomach. Usually I’m not “scared” of any medical operation, but when the future of your eyes is on the line it seemed to be a different case. But all my fear was unnecessary. Dr. Novak calmly explained every single stage before and during the operation, which made me feel totally secure. Overall the operation itself is extremely quick, not more than 20 minutes in total and both eyes operated. Amazing !
I had quite extensive discomfort during the evening of the surgery, but after that barely nothing. I had, what I consider, a perfect vision already next morning and discomfort was gone. I was fully back on work the next morning. Couple days afterwards my vision was even “beyond” perfect. It may sound as nonsense, but you cannot believe how good it feels to see your golf drive all the way to the end.
If you are considering laser surgery, I’d definitely recommend to go for it. It really has a positive impact on your life. And when you think about the place where to do it, I’d highly recommend Refrakcni Centrum Praha. I have only positive things to say about their staff and Dr. Klecka and Novak.
