In case that anything should seem unclear or should you have any further queries, please do not hesitate to contact us. We will be more than happy to explain everything and make your stay in Prague as pleasant as possible.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>The most important instructions and information for foreign patients:<\/b><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In case of your interest in securing\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.refrakcnicentrum.cz\/en\/contact\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">an appointment<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0for an examination or a\u00a0surgical procedure you may contact us on the telephone, via e-mail, through Facebook or personally.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There will be a\u00a0foreign patient coordinator available to you who will be fluent in English (German).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We send a\u00a0questionnaire via e-mail to all our foreign patients living outside of the Czech Republic. Foreign patients living within the Czech Republic may fill out this questionnaire once at the clinic. But in case the surgery is scheduled right after the examination, it is necessary to deliver the completed questionnaire in advance.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The questionnaire serves to acquiring all the necessary information required to make an appointment for a\u00a0procedure as well as some preliminary information on the patient\u2019s health. This enables us to make all the necessary steps before the actual arrival of the patient in the country, such as requesting additional specialised eye tests or doctor\u2019s notes from a\u00a0specialist. In this way, we ensure that patients who are not suitable for the procedure in question do not travel to Prague unnecessarily.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In case you are deemed to be a\u00a0suitable candidate for a\u00a0chosen procedure, you will be sent appointment details for an entry examination and a\u00a0preliminary reservation for the surgical procedure.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On request, we can arrange airport transfers and recommend accommodation in hotels in the vicinity of the clinic as well as other services. For safety reasons, this examination cannot be done on the same day as the surgery itself.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>For laser eye surgery, the following applies:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If everything is all right and the examination results show\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.refrakcnicentrum.cz\/en\/laser-eye-surgery\/\"><b>suitability for the surgical procedure<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, it is possible to undergo the actual procedure the very next day in the afternoon.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After the surgical procedure a\u00a0<\/span><b>post-operation check-up<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0follows in the early morning hours of the following day. Once this has been undertaken, you may choose to travel home. If you are spending some days in Prague on vacation, then you are welcome to come to another check-up as well.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Currently we carry out laser eye surgeries every Tuesday in the afternoon hours. To minimise your stay in Prague (should that be desired) we recommend that you undergo the specialised eye examination a\u00a0day before on Monday. On Tuesday afternoon you would then undergo the laser eye surgery of both eyes and a\u00a0post-surgery check-up would follow on Wednesday morning. As such, the\u00a0<\/span><b>minimum stay required<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0in Prague to undergo laser eye surgery is\u00a0<\/span><b>2 nights<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Of course, if you are not in a\u00a0rush or are spending some time in Prague in any case, it is possible to schedule you in for an examination at a\u00a0different time than imminently prior to the procedure.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Post-surgery check-ups<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0are included in the price of the procedure. Usually, we carry out these check-ups at the following intervals: a\u00a0day after the surgery, a\u00a0month after the surgery and six months after the surgery. Other times may be arranged as and when necessary. It is imperative to undertake the first check-up at our clinic. After this, it is ok for our foreign patients to return home and continue with check-ups at their local eye clinic and keeping us informed about their condition. In the case of this procedure, it is also an option to consult your condition with us online. It is possible to arrange further check-ups at our clinic at any other time when you may be able to visit Prague again. These check-ups are subject to prior reservation. We guarantee free post-surgery check-ups at our clinic for up to 2 years.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><div class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_wrap\" data-tags=\"all \">\n<div class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_title\">\n<span class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_plus\">\n<span class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_plus_hor\"><\/span>\n<span class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_plus_vert\"><\/span>\n<\/span>\n<a href=\"#\">Intraocular Lens Surgery\/Cataract Surgery<\/a>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"cmsmasters_toggle\">\n<div class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_inner\">\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Before the surgery, you must first undergo a\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.refrakcnicentrum.cz\/en\/specialised-eye-examination\/\"><b>specialised eye examination<\/b><\/a><b>. <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If everything is all right and the examination results show\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.refrakcnicentrum.cz\/en\/intraocular-refractive-surgery\/\"><b>suitability for the surgical procedure<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, it is then possible to carry on with the surgery.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>For intraocular lens surgery\/Cataract surgery, the following applies:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The designated operating days for intraocular lens surgeries are Wednesdays and Fridays in the morning. In essence, the following itinerary applies for intraocular lens surgeries: we do the specialised eye examination on Monday\/Tuesday and if everything appears to be fine, then we perform <\/span><b>the<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><b>first eye surgery on Wednesday morning<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. After that you receive an exact time to arrive at the clinic for <\/span><b>the second eye<\/b> <b>surgery <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">on <\/span><b>Friday morning<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. To begin with, you will undergo a\u00a0check-up of the first eye that has already been operated and the preparations for the surgery of the second eye will follow.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The day following the surgery of the second eye, a\u00a0Saturday, you may travel home. Should you remain in Prague until Monday, we suggest you take advantage of a\u00a0second post-surgery check-up before departure.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As such, the minimum time necessary to remain in Prague in case of this type of surgery is\u00a0<\/span><b>4 nights<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Before undergoing this type of surgery, we require the results of a\u00a0<\/span><b>pre-surgery medical check-up<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. This is because the surgery is performed under local anaesthesia. These results must not be older than 14 days. Should you be unable to arrange for a\u00a0medical check-up at home then we can do so in Prague at our partner clinic. In such a\u00a0case, however, you will be required to arrive in Prague at least 1 day earlier. This medical check-up is carried out in the early morning hours and must be done on an empty stomach.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Post-surgery check-ups<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0are included in the price of the procedure. Usually, we carry out these check-ups at the following intervals: a\u00a0day after the surgery, a\u00a0month after the surgery and six months after the surgery. We guarantee free post-surgery check-ups at our clinic for up to 2 years.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><div class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_wrap\" data-tags=\"all \">\n<div class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_title\">\n<span class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_plus\">\n<span class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_plus_hor\"><\/span>\n<span class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_plus_vert\"><\/span>\n<\/span>\n<a href=\"#\">Plastic Surgery of the Eyelids<\/a>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"cmsmasters_toggle\">\n<div class=\"cmsmasters_toggle_inner\">\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Before the surgery itself you must first undergo a\u00a0<\/span><b>consultation\u00a0<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">to evaluate your suitability for the actual procedure. In case you live outside of the Czech Republic it will be sufficient, to begin with, to send us high-resolution photographs by e-mail (photographs of your face with open as well as closed eyes). The surgeon will make a\u00a0preliminary evaluation of suitability for the procedure. In case of suitability being confirmed, we will offer you an appointment. You will then undergo a\u00a0consultation in person with your operating surgeon imminently prior to the procedure.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>For plastic surgery of the eyelids, the following applies:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We carry out this type of surgery on Mondays or Wednesdays at 2 pm.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The minimum required length of stay in Prague is\u00a0<\/span><b>one night<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. You may easily arrive at our clinic on the actual day of the procedure as you only have a\u00a0short consultation to undergo.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You will be asked to come back to the clinic for a\u00a0<\/span><b>post-surgery check-up<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0the day after the surgery. During this check-up, your bandages will be removed, the incision will be cleansed, and you will be given detailed instructions on what to do next. After this check-up, you may travel home.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is important to\u00a0<\/span><b>have the sutures removed<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0a\u00a0week after the procedure. All our patients arrange for this to be done back home. We would be more than happy to do this for you, however, in such a\u00a0case, your stay in Prague would have to be a\u00a0week longer. This would eliminate the comparative cost advantage. An exception would be a\u00a0planned vacation.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Before you undergo this type of surgery, we need to see the results of your blood tests. These results must not be older than 14 days. Should you be unable to arrange for a\u00a0medical check-up at home then we can do so in Prague at our partner clinic.
