“I had such a fantastic experience with Refractive Center Prague. The communication, scheduling, and instructions were exceptional. After the medical exam at home in the UK confirmed that I was an appropriate candidate for eye surgery, I went to Refractive Center Prague, where I underwent a comprehensive examination of my eyes.
Most of the exam was conducted by Dr. Novak, my surgeon. The examination was thorough, which helped ease my anxiety about the procedure. Dr. Novak was brilliant and recommended the best lens for my eyes. He has been performing eye surgeries for many years and is an expert in ophthalmology.
The next day, I arrived at the eye center and was assisted through the surgical preparation by the staff. Everyone was kind, helpful, and spoke excellent English. I met briefly with Dr. Novak before the surgery. He told me what to expect, reassured me not to be nervous, and said I was in great hands. He also mentioned that he would talk to me throughout the surgery to help me stay calm.
The surgery went well, and Dr. Novak kept speaking to me during the procedure, which was very reassuring. That night, I returned to our hotel with a patch over one eye and rested for a few hours. I was amazed that I experienced no pain and only minimal discomfort. My wife and I even went out for a light dinner near the hotel (me, still wearing the eye patch).
The next morning, I removed the patch as instructed. My operated eye already had better vision than the unoperated one – again, with no pain and only minimal discomfort. My wife and I spent the rest of the day exploring the beautiful city of Prague as usual.
The following day, I had another check-up with Dr. Novak. He examined the operated eye, said everything looked great, asked more questions about my vision, and took additional notes. That afternoon, he performed the surgery on my second eye. Everything went just as smoothly. I followed the same routine – rest, light dinner, sleep, and patch removal the next morning – then continued to enjoy the city.
The day after the second surgery, my vision was already very good, and I no longer needed glasses for any distance. Each day, my vision improves slightly, and everything becomes just a bit crisper and more vibrant. I can now read menus in dimly lit restaurants, read everything on my phone, read small print, and clearly see street signs from a distance.
I could not possibly be more pleased with the results of my surgery, the care I received at Refractive Center Prague, Dr. Novak, and the entire staff. I don’t think I could have received anything close to this level of care anywhere in the UK.”
