Karolína Kokešová, one of the most beautiful girls on a world-wide scale is a model, traveller, sportsperson and an owner of her own brand. Until recently, glasses formed an important part of her image. Due to her work and lifestyle, she decided to get rid of these once and for all.
“I was short-sighted having had 5 dioptres and without glasses I would not have known my own mother. This was quite distressing, obviously. I never minded wearing glasses. On the contrary, I always liked glasses and considered them to be a fashion accessory as well as a relief for my eyes having worn contact lenses quite a lot. I used contact lenses for work and sports but usually after a while my eyes would become red and tired, so I needed a break every now and then.” Karolína got the impulse and the courage she needed to go ahead with the surgery from her mother and now shares her feelings with us.
”Naturally, some unpleasant scenarios did cross my mind. These are my eyes are talking about so the thought of the surgery was not something I looked forward to, but I trusted Dr Novak completely. What are Karolina’s feelings about the benefits of surgery retrospectively? “The freedom is exhilarating. At first, I just walked around town and intentionally looked at buildings and my surroundings and I just could not believe just how well I could see. For some time after the surgery, I still thought that I have got my contact lenses in and need to take them out before going to sleep. But then it suddenly dawned on me that I no longer have contact lenses as I do not need them anymore.
Karolína would like to tell everyone that although the thought of surgery may be scary, there is absolutely nothing to fear in our day and age and if you choose the right clinic, it can be a truly life-changing experience.
