“If you’re thinking about getting laser surgery, I would recommend it. It changes your life in several subtle ways. At first, I wasn’t sure if it was really worth it. Now I have no regrets and would make the same choice again.
Even once I made up my mind to get the surgery, I wasn’t sure where to go. A hospital? A private clinic? And which one? Again, I am sure I made the right choice and would recommend Refrakční Centrum in Prague to anyone trying to make the same decision. The entire staff was very nice and caring. I was completely at ease during the entire process. Everything was explained to me very thoroughly, and by the time I went in for the surgery, I was hardly nervous at all.
The surgery itself is barely worth mentioning – it was less than 5 minutes, completely painless, with only an itchy feeling the next day. I had 20/20 vision the very next morning and, unfortunately, was able to go back to work the day after that.
I would like to thank both of the doctors, Dr. Klečka and Dr. Novák, as well as the nurses and staff. They were obviously experienced and also very professional from beginning to end (and they all speak great English).
It’s nice not having to go through the morning ritual of putting in contacts or finding my glasses, worrying about losing, breaking, or scratching them. I could keep talking about several small ways this has affected me positively, but I wouldn’t want to spoil the surprise for you. If you have any doubts at all, go to the initial check-up where they thoroughly explain everything, see if you’re even a candidate, and answer all your questions.”
