Now in June we take time to reflect on a beautiful milestone – our 20th anniversary. We celebrate 20 years since the establishment of our company. In the light of this special occasion, we would like to take an opportunity to thank all our esteemed clients and to recall a story that has been in the making since 2002. It is a story in which your role is vital. We are pleased that we could have helped many in living a more comfortable and fulfilling life.
It all started with the desire to help
The Refractive Centre Prague officially came into existence in the spring of 2002; however, we celebrate our ‘real’ anniversary annually every June. The reason is simple – it was only in June that we welcomed our first patients. At the centre of everything stood professor Dr Pavel Kuchynka CSc., FCMA together with Consultant in Charge MUDr. Petr Novák, who is currently the sole owner of the company. Both were specific in their desire to help others.
For the last 20 years, our calling has been helping patients with all sorts of dioptre errors in their eyes. We specialise in the surgical elimination of these at our clinic. We also specialise in the surgery of the cornea. Beauty being of no lesser importance today, we also offer various aesthetic procedures. These help in regaining self-confidence and so ensuring a happier life. We also offer tailor-made procedures thus living up to our motto “To very best for your eyes”.
At our Centre we work hard to maintain the tradition of an honest small-sized Czech company with financing exclusively from own resources.
Your comfort comes first at our clinic
We have managed to expand despite the uneasy times that we have all witnessed and not just lately. At the start of 2013 we renovated our interiors, we built a larger and more comfortable reception area for you, increased the number of examination rooms and our laser surgery operating theatres have been modernised. State-of-the-art equipment and machinery, including high-end diagnostics are a must. Continued modernisation is one of our long-term goals.
Methods approved by the NASA
We have been expanding not only our facilities but also the portfolio of our services. We are proud to be the only clinic in the Czech Republic offering laser eye surgery using the unique iDESIGN iLASIK method. This method ticks all the strictest safety criteria and is specific since it is the only method approved for NASA astronauts and military pilots. Our progress does not stop there. It is a commitment for years to come. We firmly believe that we can only maintain truly happy patients when showing continuous drive to move forward and improve our services.
Care knows no boundaries
Hit is heart-warming to know that our services are being sought out by more and more clients. And not only from within the Czech Republic! We have had the privilege of treating patients from over 60 different countries. We can communicate in 6 languages and offer our foreign clients additional services during the duration of their stay in Prague. All of this while taking care to maintain an individual approach to each one of you.
Our aims for the future
Our priority is making sure that you, our esteemed clients continue to be pleased with our work while also keeping our employees happy ensuring that they form an incredibly synchronised team. Some of our employees have been with us since the very foundation of the company. We continue to educate and improve ourselves all the while maintaining our values. These efforts are reflected in the reviews that our patients continue to leave us. We could hardly wish for better!
