I had the lasik procedure done in Prague around late July to both of my eyes during my family’s trip through Central Europe this summer. My husband and I have a 7 year old girl and a 4 year old boy. Before our trip we internet researched “medical tourism lasik” and made the necessary appointments for the procedure with Refractive Center Prague. The expense was less than half of what it costs where I live in the San Francisco Bay Area. My family had a stay in Prague near Pavlova Station of 5 nights. We were there as tourists exploring Prague and it’s wonderful playgrounds and parks, buildings and culture, but also over the 3 consecutive days of appointments for the lasik procedure. The office is very convenient next to train station Praha Hlavni Nadrazi.
Great experience!! (Warning: Take something to read for the 1st pre-exam appointment) Office was professional, easy to get to, procedure easy, doctor great!, easy to communicate (i speak no Czech). Nurses were pleasant, straight forward, always asks if I had any questions, office was clean and comfortable, offered tea or coffee snacks too!
After the surgery, my sleep was good, but I found it beyond magical to wake up in Prague without needing any help seeing. I was able to walk to the appointment by myself, our apartment was short 10 minute walk away. I had numerous “Oh-Ah!!” moments on the walk to last appointment… just beautiful….. just had to take it all in…… It sure was lovely, I won’t ever forget it…such a beautiful place to have a lasik procedure done!
Recovery was awesome! 2 knocks for perfect! Knock! Knock!
I wake up everyday thankful that I was able to get this surgery done at this clinic, and grateful for being able to see clearly without assistance, its like a huge lift has been taken from my shoulders and i have gained in so many ways. Time is precious. Thank you and Děkuji
