I have recently returned from Prague where I attended the Refrakcni Centrum to have my second cataract removed having had the first one removed in March 2017. The Clinic, which is in the city centre, is well equipped and very modern. The staff are wonderful, extremely efficient and the personal attention that I received was excellent. Most of the staff speak English and nothing seemed too much trouble. The procedures were explained to me very clearly. Apart from some slight discomfort during the operations, they were not at all painful.
A days rest after each operation, a check up with Dr. Novak, remembering to put in the drops every few hours and I was ready to enjoy some sightseeing and entertainment in this beautiful city. There is so much to see and do!
The cost including hotels, fares, spending money and surgery on both eyes approximately €3,000 Euros compared with nearly €5,000 Euros here in Ireland just for the surgery.
I had two lovely, very enjoyable holidays as well as getting my eyes fixed. I can now drive without glasses. I only need them for reading and close work.
